New GCSE learning pathways - higher levels and faster courses
Learn Devon is excited to offer new pathways for English and maths GCSE qualifications.
If you are looking to gain a qualification quickly for career progression, securing employment or achieve a higher grade, our new GCSE options could be for you. These new pathways will be available alongside our existing GCSE options.
What is now on offer?
GCSE Maths Higher Level
This course allows learners to gain a GCSE qualification grades of 5 to 9 (equivalent to B – A*). Our regular GCSE maths course only enabled learners to gain a level 5 which is a pass grade.
- GCSE maths (higher level): Starting on the 12th September, Thursdays from 6pm to 9pm, delivered online. Find out more here.
Saturday GCSE Maths
If you would like to study for a GCSE outside of the working week, we now offer a Saturday GCSE.
- GCSE Maths: Starting on the 14th September, Saturdays from 10am to 1pm, delivered online. Find out more here.
Four-Month Fast Track GCSEs for English
These courses start in August and will conclude with an exam in November. Learners will attend two online sessions per week. These courses are ideal for those looking to gain a quick GCSE for career progression or for securing employment.
- Fast track GCSE English: Starting on the 5th August, Mondays and Tuesdays from 6pm to 9pm, delivered online. Find out more here.

If you would like to have a chat about qualifications courses with Learn Devon, please join one of our enrolment events. Our enrolment events are mostly online and take about 30 minutes. We have events throughout July, August and September.
What are our existing GCSE pathways?
Learners will still be available to explore our fast-track GCSEs (January to June) and our normal GCSEs (September to May). We do have several regular GCSE courses starting in September for those who aren’t looking for a faster track course.
