You said, we did - Learner feedback

Learn Devon collects feedback from our learners to direct improvements in our service. Listening to our learners helps us to develop our service and we always welcome feedback at any time during or after a course starts.

Feedback is a vital for implementing improvements. As a service we receive feedback in many ways, from our Learner Voice form on our website (Learn Voice survey) or when feedback is given to a member of staff: to a tutor, Higher Level Learning Support Assistants, other Learn Devon staff members or to the Council’s Customer Relations team (customerrelations-mailbox@devon.gov.uk).

Below are actions Learn Devon has taken from feedback received last term:

You said: “Improve pre-course information and onboarding.”

We did: We have reviewed the Course information which informs learners of what should be expected from the course and any materials you may need.

You said: “Provide certificates promptly after course completion.”

We did: Unfortunately, we do not determine the timeline for Certification as this is set by awarding bodies. We have worked with our Exams Officer to ensure results as shared as soon as possible.

You said: “Offer Level 3 progression for popular subjects like Mental Health & Wellbeing.”

We did: Learn Devon is unable to delivery Level 3 qualifications but our Learning Advisers and tutors will offer information on how to access Level 3 progression through other programmes and providers. This will form part of your next steps conversation when you complete of your qualification.

You said: “Increase 1:1 support available for learners.”

We did: For our 25-26 programme, learners can be referred for Addition Learning Support through the tutor or self-referral at any stage of your learning journey.
