Learning with Google Classrooms from September 2024
Learn Devon is excited to announce that from September 2024 onwards all learners will have access to Google Classroom.
Google Classroom is part of Google’s Workspace for Education and is used across the world. Google Classroom helps educators create engaging learning experiences that they can personalise, manage and measure – all for the benefit of the learner.
Alongside Google Classroom, our learners will now be able to use a range of Google Apps and Gmail (Google’s email provider). This exciting new development will allow our learners to work in a dedicated workspace that they can access at home and in Learn Devon’s centres.
To help our learners get to grips with Google Classroom, we are running several workshops throughout August:
These will be two-hour sessions (online sessions and ‘face to face’ sessions should be available)
Learners will learn how to access the Google Classroom and how to use the Google Meet software for online courses (similar to ‘Zoom’ and ‘Teams’)
Learners will learn how to use the main features of Google Classroom to complete and submit work
Learners will learn how to access resources and information that your tutor will share with you in Google Classroom
