Supporting Learners with Learning Difficulties
At Learn Devon, we are committed to creating quality opportunities that support learners with learning difficulties to build confidence, develop skills and live more independently. At part of this, we’re celebrating Learning Disability Week 2026 which runs from 15th to 21st June.
Seeing our learners
We focus on providing a safe, supportive environment where individuals can learn at their own pace and achieve their goals. We work closely with learners to understand their needs and provide tailored support with our SENDCo that helps them succeed both in learning and in everyday life.
We promote independence by encouraging practical skills from managing daily tasks to using digital tools that make life easier and more accessible. Alongside this, we support learners to build communication skills, helping them understand what support they need and giving them the confidence to ask for it.
Creating accessible information is also a key part of our work, ensuring everyone can engage with their community. From easy read resources to engaging activities, we aim to remove barriers and open up opportunities.
