GCSE Results Day 2025
It’s GCSE result day across the country and Learn Devon has been celebrating.
Adult learners across Devon have been celebrating their hard-earned GCSE results. Learn Devon has been right there with them, celebrating their success!
As Devon County Council’s adult education service, Learn Devon proudly welcomed learners into its centres to collect their results, offering congratulations and support throughout the day.
Whether you’re looking to boost your career prospects or achieve a personal goal, Learn Devon offers free GCSE English and Maths courses, with new classes starting in September and January. It’s never too late to learn — and we’re here to help you every step of the way.
In English, learners achieved a 87% pass rate. National average was 59.7% at Grade 4. In Maths, learners achieved a 61% pass rate which is above the national average of 58.2%.
Roseanna McElligott gained a grade seven in English. She said: “I’m feeling really happy. Glad it’s over but the course was great. I’m doing an Access Course right now and I’m hoping to go to uni next year to study Nursing.”
Finlay Beale achieved a five in English and a four in Maths. He said: “Very good result. A bit of studying and I got lots of help from my tutor.”
Natalia Mokrileva passed both GCSE English and Maths, achieving a six for English and a seven for Maths. She said: “I had an amazing experience with Learn Devon especially with my tutor Sara. She made studying feel individual even though I was part of a group. I would recommend everybody who wants to go with Learn Devon to do so.”
Maria Kleckowski-Tanner got a five in Maths. She said: “I became obsessed with Maths and wished now that I had done the higher-level paper. Cheryl was a lovely tutor.”
