Building confidence with numeracy for parents
Learn Devon is very excited to be part of The Family Numeracy Programme, a Multiply Education research trial, funded by the Department of Education and delivered by their partner, Etio.
This unique and innovative trial, developed by Campaign for Learning, aims to empower parents and carers of Year 2 children to improve their numeracy skills alongside their children. Five schools in Devon applied and have been selected to be part of the randomised control research project. Four schools are in North Devon/Torridge area and one is in Exeter. Learn Devon’s role within this trial is to deliver a programme of courses to support parents.
Since being selected, the programme has now started. As we move through the programme, the delivery team will review and measure the impact of the interventions including monitoring the confidence with maths and numeracy for both parents and children.
