Young entrepreneurs: getting started
Overview
Have you wondered what it would be like to be your own boss? Do you have an idea for a business, a product to sell, or a skill you could turn into an opportunity? This introduction workshop is for young people aged 16 to 25 who would like to explore entrepreneurship and find out more about self-employment. Whether you already have a business idea or are simply curious about working for yourself in the future, this course will help you build the confidence to do it.
You will explore what entrepreneurship means and discover the skills, qualities, and mindset that successful entrepreneurs often possess. You will consider your own strengths and interests, identify business ideas, and learn how entrepreneurs spot opportunities and solve problems. You will also explore who your customers might be, the rewards and challenges of running a business, and create a simple action plan to help you take your ideas forward.
You will learn through tutor-led discussions, practical activities, worksheets, and examples of successful entrepreneurs. There will be opportunities to share ideas, ask questions, and reflect on your own interests and ambitions in a supportive and encouraging environment
