Overview
This 3-session workshop is perfect for parents and carers with children in Key Stage 2 (ages 6–11) who have an interest in coding and robotics and have completed the introduction. If you already have some basic programming experience and want to explore more, this course is for you and your child!
You will develop skills in building and programming autonomous LEGO robots using sensors, sound, distance, and data, skills you will be able to pass on to your children. Each session includes a hands-on challenge: Rhino Rampage – Explore distance, time, and direction; Hopper’s Great Escape – Tackle a prototyping challenge by modifying code and designs; Kiki the Helper Dog – Define problems and apply testing methods for success; Breakdnce Bots – Experiment with coding time, speed and rotation.
You will work in a small, friendly group alongside your child, combining teamwork and independent tasks. Every session is practical and fun!
