Photography on your mobile device

Overview

Modern mobile devices have powerful cameras that can create high quality images and videos in just a few simple steps. If you want to discover how to use your device to create, adjust, save, and share your images and videos then this workshop will show you how.

The workshop will explain show you what cameras you have on your device and how use it to take photographs and videos. You will learn how to save your images and then edit them to deal with issues such as underexposure, blurring and unwanted objects before sharing them to show off your efforts!

This is an informal classroom-based session with one of our experienced tutors. You will learn in a small group with plenty of opportunities to ask questions and practice on your device.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements. You will need to bring your smartphone or tablet with you to use during the session.

Assessment criteria

There is no assessment, your progress during the session will be monitored by your tutor.

What do I need?

You will need a working smartphone, tablet, or other similar mobile device capable of accessing the Internet and taking photographs and video (all modern smartphones can do this).
