Maths skills - algebra 3, quadratic equations and graphs

Overview

This course is for anyone who wants to revise algebra, particularly the processes and skills needed for GCSE Maths. This course is also ideal for anyone simply wanting to improve their algebra skills for personal reasons.

This course covers all of the GCSE content in algebra:  Expand and simplify double brackets Factorise and solve quadratics Draw quadratic graphs and use them to solve equations

Our classes are small and welcoming and will take place for one 2 hour session. You will work with others and on your own through a combination of whole class teaching and individual work in google classroom.  You will be taught by supportive and friendly tutors who provide lots of practical help and guidance.

Entry requirements

*This course is free if you do not have a GCSE maths qualification or have a GCSE D grade (grade 3 under the new grading system) equivalent or below. 

Assessment criteria

There will be a simple ILP (Individual Learning Plan) which the tutor will discuss with you individually, to make sure the class is meeting your needs. You will also take part in discussions in the group about the session’s activities.

What do I need?

As this is an online course, you will need a good internet connection and a computer/tablet or similar device to connect to the lessons.  You will also need a pen, pencil and a notebook.
