Living in the UK - Daily conversations

Overview

If the UK /English is not your mother country/language, and you would like to know more about daily conversations you could have in the UK, this is the right course for you.

You will improve your knowledge and understanding of meeting and greeting, shopping and other routine conversations. This course will enable you to improve your knowledge of daily conversations like buying food and using money, expressing how you feel and going to the doctors in the UK. (You will meet people from different countries and cultures, so it could be an opportunity to make friends and practice your language skills.) 

Our lessons are fun and interactive.  Our tutors are all experienced tutors who will give you help and guidance. You will be learning either face to face or online in a welcoming environment.  You will work with others using a variety of resources e.g. quizzes, role play, and other activities provided by the tutor.

Entry requirements

Some knowledge of spoken and written English will be helpful for this course. It will provide you with additional vocabulary to support daily life.

Assessment criteria

There is no exam.  Your tutor will provide you with verbal feedback to help you make progress through discussion during the class. 

What do I need?

You will need a pen, pencil and paper.  If you have access to a dictionary, it may also be useful.  If the course is online, you will need a tablet or laptop and a good wi-fi connection. 

If your course is online a tablet or laptop and a good wi-fi connection are essential. 

Although it isn’t essential, access to the internet and a digital device at home may be useful for home study and practice.

After completing this course, you would be able to progress to further learning such our Living & Working in the UK course or ESOL language qualification courses.
