L2 Certificate in Health & Social Care

Overview

This course is designed for learners aged 19+ who want to start a career in health and social care or progress to further study in the sector. If you’re thinking about a job in care support or community-based support work, this course will help you gain valuable knowledge.

You will study key subject areas including equality and diversity, communication, safeguarding, human growth and development, wellbeing, and core practices used across health and social care settings. The programme provides essential knowledge of principles and standards expected within the sector.

You will be taught in an online classroom and asked to complete assignments and independent study.

Entry requirements

Learners should be aged 19+ and eligible to study in the UK. You will be asked to provide I.D and proof of income/benefits once you have enrolled.

Assessment criteria

You will work with your tutor to build a portfolio of evidence which meets the required standard.

What do I need?

You will need a laptop or tablet with a camera and microphone, and a good internet connection to join the classroom and complete work. A smartphone will not be sufficient.

What can I do next?

This qualification provides a direct route to Level 3 study, including the NCFE CACHE Level 3 Award, Certificate, or Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care. It may also support progression into roles such as care support worker, healthcare assistant, or community-based support worker.
