Functional skills: English entry level 2 or 3
Overview
This course is for adults who want to improve their everyday English reading, writing and speaking skills. It is suitable for learners working towards Entry Level 2 or 3 who want to gain confidence for daily life, work or further learning.f English is not your first language, our ESOL courses may be more suitable.
You will practise English for everyday life. You will learn how to read and understand simple texts, write clear sentences and short texts such as emails. You will work on spelling common words and using capital letters and full stops. You will also practise taking part in conversations and group discussions.
Classes take place at Exeter Library in a small, friendly group. You will learn through tutor-led activities, group work and individual tasks. Tutors use a range of practical resources and real-life examples to support your learning and build confidence. Homework may be set to help you practise skills between sessions.
