Everyday maths
Overview
This course is for adults who want to improve their confidence with everyday maths. It is suitable if you find maths challenging or want to strengthen practical skills for daily life, such as using money, telling the time, measuring, or understanding numbers. It is ideal for learners who are returning to education or who want to build skills before progressing to other maths courses.
You will develop practical maths skills used in everyday situations. Topics may include numbers, addition and subtraction, time, money, shape, measurement and simple problem solving. Learning focuses on real‑life examples to help you use maths more confidently at home, in your community, and at work.
You will learn in small, friendly and supportive classes led by experienced tutors. Sessions include tutor‑led activities, practical tasks, discussion and individual work. You can work at your own pace and get help when you need it. Courses run at Learn Devon centres across Devon at different times of the day.
