Do you want to be an entrepreneur? Have you ever thought about starting your own business or earning money from a hobby, skill, or idea? This course is for young people, aged 16- 25 years old, who would like to explore entrepreneurship and learn what it takes to turn an idea into a business. Whether you are considering self-employment, a side hustle, or simply want to develop entrepreneurial skills, this course will help you build confidence to take your next steps.
You will explore what entrepreneurship means and the personal qualities of successful entrepreneurs. You will explore and identify potential business opportunities and use your interests and strengths to take your ideas from a concept to reality. You will learn about identifying your target audience and testing whether the business idea is viable through basic budgeting and pricing. You will explore simple marketing and promotion techniques and develop confidence in planning and presenting your
Throughout the course there will be presentations to provide information, practical activities and problem-solving tasks. There will be examples of entrepreneur success stories, discussion forums to share ideas from personal experience knowledge and research. Worksheets will be available for you to use to record your findings and help you develop and clarify your understanding of Entrepreneurship and business ideas.
