Overview
This course is designed for adult learners who want to develop a deeper knowledge of mental health, wellbeing, and the factors that influence mental health across different life stages. It is suitable for those working, or aspiring to work, in health and social care, mental health services, support work, education, youth work, or community settings. Learners must be aged 19+ to undertake the qualification.
Learners will develop in‑depth knowledge of mental health, including legislation, services, attitudes, mental health problems, consequences, and treatment options. The qualification covers: The context of mental health and wellbeing Promotion of mental health and wellbeing Mental health problems and their associated issues Understanding mental ill health Working in mental health settings
Learning takes place online with guided activities, independent research, reflective practice, and tutor support. Delivery includes using an online learning platform and classroom with discussions, and workbook activities aligned to Level 3 study.
