Passmore Edwards team walk for Rowcroft
Posted on: 28 July 2015
Three cheers for Sally Morgan and Janet Frost – part of our team at the Passmore Edwards Centre in Newton Abbot. Along with Rachel Kidd, Cherry Godleman and Lana Hula who also work at the centre, on 11 July they completed Rowcroft Hospice’s Sleep Walk in Torbay and raised more than £360 for the charity.
They joined another 1,800 women on the cowgirl-themed walk, which started at 8pm and had five- and 10-mile routes. A total of £169,000 was pledged on the night.
The Passmore Edwards team walked the five-mile route and finished in two hours 20 minutes. Rachel Kidd says: “We all had a great time, the weather was dry and there was a lovely atmosphere. We enjoyed the refreshments at the halfway point too!
“We have all been affected by cancer and many of us have had loved ones who have benefited from the care Rowcroft provides, so it was a privilege to raise money for them.”
