You said, we did – how did we act on your feedback?
Our learners are at the heart of everything we do at Learn Devon. We always value feedback from our learners and make every effort to act on any feedback we receive and to make things right in areas where we could do better. Below is what you said, followed by what we did to improve things for the future.
“I found the paperwork and survey difficult to complete”
We have worked on redesigning both the learner paperwork and the survey to make it easier for our learners to complete. We are limited in the changes we can make to the learner paperwork as the information we ask from our learners are required from us by our funding bodies. However, we have completely redesigned our learner survey to make it simpler and more learner friendly. We have created an online version as well as reprinted our paper surveys.
“I thought your building in Tavistock is a bit scruffy”
We sat down with our area team and spoke with them about finding ways we can improve the building. We have addressed this with our caretaker and have introduced new cleaning/tidying procedures. Tavistock is also undergoing a major reconstruction with the aim of improving the building.
“I was looking to fill up my water bottle and could not find a water dispenser at your centre in Exmouth”
We have purchased and put in place a filtered water dispenser in all our four centres.
“Your kitchen facilities are a bit poor”
We have purchased new mugs, cutlery and a kettle and microwave for our four centres available to use for both our learners and staff.
“I always struggle with IT in Tavistock as I can never get signal to connect to WiFi”
We have raised a request with our IT supplier to upgrade our WiFi service at the Alexandra Centre in Tavistock. Better IT equipment has been put in place and the signal in the building has significantly improved.
“I find it difficult to find my classroom and think the signage is poor at the Kennaway Centre”
We worked with a designer to create and make new signs that have been installed at our centre in Exmouth. We have made sure our signs are up to date and in place in our other centres too.
We are always trying to improve our service so if you would like to have your say and tell us what you think about Learn Devon please fill in our feedback form or contact your nearest centre.
