Learn Devon apprenticeship success for Lauren
Posted on: 22 September 2016
Lauren, whose apprenticeship is being provided by Learn Devon, is now pursuing her Level 3 Diploma in Business Administration. In July 2015, she secured a permanent position as a Technical Officer with TSConnect.
Cllr Roger Croad, Cabinet Member with responsibility for Trading Standards and Learn Devon, presented Lauren with her Level 2 certificate at a Service meeting in July.
Lauren said: “What I enjoy most about my apprenticeship is being in the work environment that my qualification relates to and seeing first-hand what happens in an organisation. I also enjoy gaining knowledge and experience from the people I work with. The support from both Learn Devon and my colleagues in Trading Standards has been exceptional. There has never been a moment where I’ve felt I can’t ask for guidance or advice.
“I would recommend an apprenticeship to others, as it’s a great chance to learn on the job and it puts you into working life ready to discover what career path you wish to take.”
Cllr Croad said: “Congratulations to Lauren on achieving her Level 2 Diploma. Her hard work, together with support from her colleagues and Learn Devon, has really paid off. It’s great to have her as a permanent member of the Trading Standards team and I wish her the best of success with her Level 3 qualification.”
Learn Devon offers apprenticeships in Customer Service and Business and Administration at Levels 2 and 3. This September, five more apprentices are joining Learn Devon teams in Tavistock and Exmouth. Lewis Knight, Harry Ricketts, Paige Dempster, Emily Perrin and Marcus Weeks will all be working towards their Level 2 Diplomas in either Customer Service or Business Administration.
