Floristry ideas for weddings and celebrations
Ashburton Arts Centre, Ashburton Saturday 22 February 2020 10am – 1pm
This one day course will inspire you to create your own beautiful floristry, and at the end of the course you’ll be able to take at least one of your creations home with you. You’ll be introduced to some floristry techniques by Deborah, our highly experienced tutor who has won a Gold Award for Garden Design, and has created Art and Design work for the BBC and MTV. Aluminium Jewellery: make a bangle workshop
Arts Centre Bideford Monday 3 February 2020 6pm – 9pm
On this one day course you’ll learn how to make your own aluminium bangle. You’ll experiment with a range of dyes and printing processes to decorate your bangle and make it your own, and then choose a final design for your piece of jewellery, before actually making your own unique bangle. Sounds complicated? No experience is needed for this fun and friendly course in making stained glass. You’ll learn how to cut and foil glass, use a grinder and how to apply blowpipe solder. The tutor will be on hand for constant help and support, so you’ll be able to create a unique panel to your own design. Book now!
Multi-plate and colour linocut skills
Kennaway Centre, Exmouth Starts Monday 3 February 2020 6pm
This two session workshop is flexible. People who are completely new to linocut printmaking will be introduced to the processes in a structured way by the tutor, while those with more experience who need access to a studio will be able to work on their own projects. You’ll use techniques such as weaving with wire to create unique garden ornaments made out of shells and driftwood. The tutor will be on hand to provide full support and advice.
