Our autumn programme has well and truly begun so here’s our latest pick of courses starting soon across Devon. These include some great craft workshops, as well as  communication and Spanish courses.

If you see something you’d like to do but it’s not on in your area or the times or dates don’t suit you, find more courses using our online search or contact your local centre – if there’s enough interest in your area, they may be able to put on your course.

Reading and writing skills

Ockment Centre, Okehampton. Tuesdays 18 September 1:30 – 3:30pm

Bookbinding and printmaking for all

Ockment Centre, Okehampton. Thursdays 20 September 3 – 7pm

You can book individual 2-hour slots as a taster or build your own tailor-made course by booking multiple slots and creating complex or multiple artefacts; perfecting a broader range of skills. Find out more.

Introduction to reverse applique

Arts Centre, Bideford. Saturday 22 September 10am – 1pm

Learn the basic techniques for reverse applique – sewing a simple shape through layers of fabric. Find out more.

Spanish Beginners 1

Kennaway Centre, Exmouth. Mondays 24 September 10am – 12noon

Want to try the basics of learning Spanish? It can be daunting on your own and is much more fun with a supportive tutor and a group, where you can practice with each other and share the joys and frustrations. Find out more
