Featured Five: courses not to miss in August

Here’s our latest pick of courses starting soon across Devon. These include some great craft workshops, as well as some relaxation, communication and maths courses.
If you see something you’d like to do but it’s not on in your area or the times or dates don’t suit you, find more courses using our online search or contact your local centre – if there’s enough interest in your area, they may be able to put on your course.
Summer Art Matters
Arts Centre, Bideford. Wednesdays 15 August 2 – 4pm
This will be a fun course to attend and suitable for anyone who is being supported on a day-to-day basis. You will be making two small figures from scrap/found materials such as fabric, plant pots or driftwood. Find out more.

St Sidwells Community Centre, Exeter. Thursdays 2 August 2:15 – 4:15pm
Courses cover different levels and include the skills of communication, reading and writing used in everyday situations, and you will be able learn at your own pace. Find out more.

Improve your maths under the tuition of a qualified maths teacher who will assist you with learning at your own pace and enable you to set your own goals. Find out more.

If you have a laptop, tablet or iPad and struggle to operate it or have specific skills need; you can attend this small informal group and receive one to one support. Find out more.
Expressive intaglio printmaking, using collagraphy
