Featured Five: Course not to miss in March

The sun has been shining and daffodils are beginning to bloom, so here’s our latest pick of courses starting soon across Devon. These include some great art and craft and creative writing workshops.

If you see something you’d like to do but it’s not on in your area or the times or dates don’t suit you, find more courses using our online search or contact your local centre – if there’s enough interest in your area, they may be able to put on your course.

Pottery: more beginners

Arts Centre, Bideford. Friday 1 March 2 – 4:30pm

This course is great if you want to try pottery out and see what you can make or for those that have recently completed a Pottery for beginners course. Find out more.

Needlefelt a picture

Kennaway Centre, Exmouth. Thursday 7 March 12:30 – 3pm

Come along and create a fabulous felty picture using wool roving and a felting needle. Find out more.

Art matters: make a journal

Rushbrook, Totnes. Tuesday 19 March 10am – 3:30pm

This courses is suitable for adults with learning difficulties and disabilities and is perfect for those  who are creative, enjoy exploring new and different art ideas and want to improve their writing.  Find out more. 

Bygone days!

Okehampton Library, Okehampton. Thursday 28 March 1 – 3pm

Working in a group, in pairs or individually, create written pieces which reflect Okehampton’s history. Through discussing topics, and developing ideas; poems and stories can be thought through and written. Find out more.
