Here’s our latest pick of courses starting soon across Devon. These include some great craft workshops, as well as some relaxation, communication and maths courses.

If you see something you’d like to do but it’s not on in your area or the times or dates don’t suit you, find more courses using our online search or contact your local centre – if there’s enough interest in your area, they may be able to put on your course.

Walks with Words

Castle Ham Lodge, Okehampton. Monday 9 July 10am – 1pm

This will be a stimulating session where a specific walk in town will enable learners to observe and get ideas for writing. Find out more.

The Kennaway Centre, Exmouth. Monday 16 July 10am – 12noon

Introduction to Watercolours: how to paint trees

Arts Centre, Bideford. Thursday 19 July 2 -4pm

You will learn some basic watercolour painting techniques including mixing colour, using brushes and sponges to create marks and texture. Find out more.

Summer School: learn to sew and bind your own notebook

The Mansion, Totnes. Wednesday 25 July 10am – 3pm

This is a 2-day course focusing on creating an A5 journal or notebook with a rounded spine using recycled materials. Find out more
