Maths top ups: quadratic equations - Multiply

Overview

Anybody who would like some additional support or guidance with improving their Maths skills.

This course will support you to improve your Maths. You will learn how to: Expand double brackets Factorise quadratic expressions Solve quadratic expressions by factorising Draw the graph of a quadratic equation

Each session will be about 2 hours long. You will be taught by a supportive and friendly Maths tutor who will provide lots of practical help and guidance. Our classes are small and welcoming, you will work with others and on your own, using a variety of resources provided by the tutor. This course is free and available online.

Entry requirements

This course if free for anyone who is 19 and over, doesn’t have a level 2 in maths, or higher (GCSE Grade 4/C) and is a resident in Devon, please contact your local Learn Devon Centre who can give you further information and advice.

Assessment criteria

There will be a simple ILP (Individual Learning Plan) which the tutor will discuss with you individually, to make sure the class is meeting your needs. You will also take part in discussions in the group about the session’s activities.

A pen and notebook would be useful to make notes.
