Overview
This course is aimed at people interested in learning more knowledge of physical and mental health and wellbeing. Developing their skills in supporting the health of themselves or others. It is for anyone who is wishing to upskill, or who is looking to change career and be in a profession where people are at the forefront. You may find the subject of mental health interesting and would like to learn more.
During this course you will learn: The meaning of the term ‘mental health’, the different types of mental health conditions, the impact of drugs and alcohol on a person’s own mental health, the impact of social media on a person’s own mental health, how to look after own and others physical and mental health and how to seek help and support with your own and others mental health.
Your course will include presentations from your tutor, discussions, the sharing of experiences and insights. Your tutor will support you throughout. You will be encouraged to share good practice with other learners in group discussions and reflecting on practice.
