Overview
This course is for individuals 19+ who are volunteering or are about to start volunteering, and whose first language is not English (ESOL learners).
This course will help you develop skills and understanding around: The role of a volunteer Different types of voluntary work Benefits of voluntary work for the volunteer and the organisation, community or individual being served Working in a team Problem solving You will need to have a volunteering role or start a volunteering role during the course.
The course takes place online (via Google Classroom) on Wednesday mornings. You will take part in discussions as well as working on your own and in a group. You will complete handouts and questionnaires. *Video training about how to use Google Classroom is available on our website.
