Google for ESOL

Overview

This course is for anyone who is starting an online ESOL course and wants to become more familiar using Google Classroom and its features.

You will learn to how to access your online ESOL courses. You will also learn about how to use Google Classroom both inside and outside of class as well as using a newer programme called Kami. This will help you to feel ready to start your online class and will give you the skills to use Google to enhance this.

You will be learning in a small and welcoming class. You will be taught by supportive and friendly ESOL tutors who provide lots of practical help and guidance. t

Entry requirements

To enrol on this course, you will first need to talk to one of our friendly Learning Advisers. They will arrange a meeting and give you some simple tasks to carry out to make sure that this is the right course for you. To make an appointment with our team please contact your local Learn Devon centre.

Assessment criteria

You will complete an ILP at the end of the course to see if you feel more confident about joining one of our ESOL qualification courses.

What do I need?

This course is free and has no special requirements.

It would be helpful to have access to the internet and a device such as a smartphone, tablet or laptop to access further learning resources online.

You will need a pen, pencil, eraser and a notebook.

What can I do next?

After successfully completing this course and having an assessment with one of our Learning Advisers, you may enrol on one of our ESOL language qualification courses in speaking and listening, reading or writing.
