Getting started with Google

Overview

This course is designed to support learners who are looking to enrol onto online courses with Learn Devon but have not used the Google Classrooms platform before or would like to familiarise themselves with it.

In this session you will learn about our Google platform, which all learners will be using with their tutors to access the classroom across our courses. This session will give an overview of the Google platform and make sure you can access the learning platform ready for your course. You will learn how to log into Gmail, access the classroom and join lessons. You will also find out how to access resources and submit an assignment.

These courses are offered online or face to face at one of our Learn Devon regional bases.

There are no additional entry requirements to join this course.

Assessment criteria

You will be assessed through Q&A with the tutor. There is no formal assessment, but by the end of the session you should have your Google learner account set up and ready to use.

What do I need?

Face to face support sessions will have laptops available to use. To access this course online, you will need access to a tablet, iPad, laptop or computer with microphone and camera as well as a good internet connection.  This course cannot be accessed on a mobile phone.
