First steps to getting online
Overview
Have you never used a computer before? Is the internet a mystery to you? This short course will get you started on your journey to using computers and using the internet. It will provide your first steps to getting online.
You will learn how to turn on a computer and use controls such as a ‘mouse’ and a keyboard. You will learn how to ‘log in’ and connect to the internet safely and how to search the internet. You will have the opportunity to explore websites of interest including how to access some public services. You will learn how to shut down the computer safely.
You will learn in Passmore Edwards Centre. One of our experienced tutors will help you to learn. The course will include classroom-based activities in small groups.
How do I enrol?
Unfortunately, this course is now full. We do however, have a waiting list which you can join and in the event of someone pulling out, we will notify everyone on that list at the same time. It will then be on a first come first serve basis.
