Exploring occupation in health & social care ESOL
Overview
This course is for individuals 19+ who are thinking about a career in the health and care sector and whose first language is not English (ESOL learners). As this course leads to a qualification you will be asked to complete a short initial skills check before enrolling on the course to make sure this course is right for you.
This course will help you identify - job role duties, requirements of personal presentation; timekeeping and attendence; and conduct towards others. Main procedures related to own work role and what happens if these are not followed. Items of equipment used; the purpose of the equipment, how to use equipment safely; and how to care for and store equipment. Fire procedures. Accident procedures. The course takes place on Tuesday evenings at Wonford in the RILD Building. You will take part in discussions as well as working on your own and in a group.
