Digital skills for work

Overview

This course is perfect for anyone looking for work who wants to boost their digital skills. It’s designed for beginners, including those new to using a Universal Credit account or anyone who wants to feel more confident with online job searching.

You’ll learn how to update and save a digital CV, search for jobs online, upload your CV to websites, and stay safe by sharing information only with trusted sources. You’ll also learn how to update your Universal Credit Journal with your job search progress.

Learning will take place in a small group through practical, hands-on activities using a laptop, with guidance and support from your tutor throughout.

There are no entry requirements for this course.

Assessment criteria

You will get feedback from your tutor in the session to let you know how you are doing. There will be an Individual Learning Plan for you to complete with the support of your tutor.

What do I need?

All equipment for this course will be provided by Learn Devon. You will also need to bring with you any passwords you have for your email account and your Universal Credit account.

You may like to make your own notes so a pen/pencil and notebook will be useful.
