Award in health and care (Entry level 3)
Overview
This course if for anyone 19+ who is thinking about a career in the Health and Care sector. You may already have been volunteering in a health and care setting. You may be uncertain about what opportunities there are to work in the sector. As this course leads to a qualification you will be asked to complete a short initial skills check (in person or via Teams/Zoom) before enrolling on the course to make sure this course is right for you.
This course gives learners a general overview of working in the Health and Care sector. You will learn about: The range of service provision available in health and social care (adults and children and young people), early years and childcare. The range and scope of roles within health and social care (adults/children/young people), early years and childcare. The principles and values that underpin work in health and social care (adults and children and young people), early years and childcare
You will take part in discussions as well as working on your own and in a group. There will be an assignment each week (quizzes, finding things out, etc.) which you must complete in your own before the next session. The course will take place in a classroom setting with some online learning also likely.
