Baby brain - nuturing communication
Who is this course for?
This course is for under 2’s and their parents or carers.
Through discussion and activities with the other adults in the session, followed by practical activities with your child, you will begin to learn about how a baby/young child’s brain develops and how to nurture that development. You will join in with other learners and their children to share books, stories and play activities in the session. Your tutor will also give you lots of ideas for activities to do at home with your child.
Our classes are small and welcoming and will be run by one of our experienced Family Learning tutors. You will be with other parents and carers and their children, so there will be lots of opportunity for discussion and the sharing of ideas. The Sessions will be very hands-on with stories, craft activities and play with your child. Your tutor will also suggest activities and ideas to do at home with your child.
Support and feedback
There will be a simple ILP (Individual Learning Plan) which the tutor will discuss with you individually, to make sure the class is meeting your needs. You will also take part in discussions in the group about the session’s activities.
