Creating summer birds
Who is this course for?
Do you have a child or children aged 6 years and above?
Do you enjoy making things with your child or children?
Are you looking for ideas of easy craft activities that you make at home without much mess?
Do you like working with wool and enjoy looking at birds?
If so, then this workshop is perfect for you.
You will be guided, by our tutor, through the processes needed to turn odd balls of wool into summer birds with your child or children.
The session is designed for you to work together with your child/ren to create these tweetiful garden friends to decorate your home/garden or pass on as gifts to others.
Support and feedback
Your tutor will give practical demonstrations, have discussions, set tasks, give feedback and will support you throughout the course. You will work with your tutor on your personal goals within the structure of the course.
Additional costs and requirements
This online course is real-time teaching in a virtual environment. Learners must have access to a computer/laptop, microphone, webcam and Zoom (we can advise on this). You will be working with your tutor in a virtual learning environment using an online video platform called Zoom. You will be accompanied in your virtual class, with other learners.
There are no additional costs.
You will need to provide your own resources as listed below:-
3 balls of 2 ply wool, in 3 different colours
Empty cereal box
Florist tape (brown)
Glue gun and glue sticks or Pritt stick
Small piece of orange or brown felt (approx.. 1” square) for the bird’s beak
Small buttons, beads, split pins or wobbly eyes, something you can use for the bird’s eyes.
