Who is this course for?
This course is for anyone who would like to reduce stress through learning active relaxation.
In this four-week course, you will learn some easy relaxation, mindfulness and very gentle Hatha Yoga exercises that will help you to:
– Significantly reduce stress and feel more peaceful and at ease
– Reduce tension and stiffness in your body
– Develop self awareness
– Manage emotions and re-connect with your natural positivity and wellbeing
– Feel more balanced and in control in your life
– Develop focus and concentration
– Improve sleep
Support and feedback
Your tutor will support you throughout the course. You will work with your tutor on your personal goals within the structure of the course. You will receive feedback on your progress and suggestions as to how to improve.
Will I have to do anything outside of the session?
Wear loose, comfortable clothing.
The tutor, Paul Beard, will invite you to practice some of the relaxation techniques taught laying on the floor (this is optional, and everything can be practiced on a chair, as needed). Please bring your own mat, any supportive cushions you need and a blanket for your comfort.
Paul will have available a limited supply of spare mats, cushions and blankets and these will be sanitised between uses.

The Learn Devon team will be following the latest Government guidelines in relation to ensuring a Covid-19 secure environment.
Your course will include practical tasks and discussions and your tutor will support you throughout. Your tutor will suggest ideas on what to practice in your own time
