Who is this course for?
If you work in a team or as a manager or are seeking employment and would like to gain some knowledge of leadership skills for your CV, then this course is suitable for you.
It is also suitable for people working within charity organisations where they must manage or lead groups into a positive way of working.
It helps improve your leadership skills, improve your work skills and helps you to empower others.
You will learn different approaches on the skills of leadership. You will learn several theories of leadership, focusing and practising on the theory of Transactional Analysis Leadership Skills.
You will review and compare different styles of leadership with Transactional Analysis.
Working with personal development skills to understand personal awareness of working in a team. You will be working with your tutor in a virtual learning environment using an online video platform called Zoom. You will be accompanied in your virtual class, with other learners. Your tutor will give practical demonstrations, have discussions, set tasks, give feedback, and will support you throughout the course.
Additional costs and requirements
This course is delivered online and provided free of charge. You will, however, need a computer or a tablet with a stable internet connection, as well as a built in or external microphone and camera to attend the course.
About the tutor
Your tutor will be Teresa Willey. Teresa started working for Learn Devon in 2019 and teaches various wellbeing courses throughout Devon. Before joining us, Teresa worked with the Workers Education Association, started her own workshops on personal development and wellbeing and set up her own counselling practice.
When Teresa isn’t in the classroom, she enjoys playing poker, travelling and being outdoors, either in her garden or at the beach. On top of this, Teresa has four children and grandchildren and a puppy to keep her busy!
After having a rather varied life, Teresa has found her passion in teaching. It helps her meet new people and most importantly she gets to help them excel in their own personal growth!
