Re-connect with happiness and wellbeing
Who is this course for?
Is happiness elusive for you?
Do you suffer with anxiety or depression?
Learning Mindfulness can help.
As a highly effective well-being practice with a substantial evidence-base, Mindfulness continues to increase in popularity in public and professional life all over the world. It originates from Buddhism, but is now commonly taught in a secular way in healthcare, education and business settings.
In terms of mental health, regular Mindfulness practice is now proven to be as good as medication for relieving anxiety and depression and is recommended by NICE (National Institute of Clinical Excellence) as an evidence-based treatment for depression.
People who practice Mindfulness consistently report increasing levels of happiness and overall wellbeing.
You will be learning:
• Some easy, introductory Mindfulness exercises and meditations
• How you can use what you learn to understand and start to diminish the power of negative self beliefs – and negative emotions (such as fear, sadness, despair & anger) – and improve your positivity, self esteem, and confidence.
Support and feedback
The tutor (Paul Beard) will invite you to say how you get on with each exercise taught through the session – only if you want to.
Additional costs and requirements
Please bring a notebook and pen if you would like to take notes.
There are no extra costs.
Will I have to do anything outside of the session?
Paul will encourage you to practice what you learn in your own time, although there is no requirement to do this.
