Easy yoga that anyone can do
Who is this course for?
Yoga doesn’t have to be about getting your feet behind your head!
In fact, it doesn’t have to be hard at all! It’s all about gently stretching as far as you can comfortably – no matter what abilities or disabilities you have.
It’s also about just feeling happier and healthier in yourself.
Practicing Yoga can help you to…
• Reduce stress and feel more relaxed and peaceful
• Reduce tension & stiffness in your body
• Develop self awareness
• Manage emotions and re-connect with your natural positivity and wellbeing
• develop focus & concentration
• Improve sleep
The tutor Paul will make sure there are stretches that everyone can do, no matter how far or how little you can stretch.
For example, if you have a physical disability, you could do the whole session on chair if you need to.
Complete beginners are welcome.
In this introductory workshop you will learn…
• Some easy, gentle Yoga stretches
• How to improve your breathing whilst you move into and out of the stretches
• Learning ways to relax in your mind and body.
• Everything is optional and you don’t have to take part if you don’t want to.
Support and feedback
Paul will let you know in a gentle way. He will ask you to complete a confidential health questionnaire at the beginning of the workshop so that he is aware of any health conditions you have that may affect your ability to practice yoga.
He will then tailor the teaching to yours and others’ needs. If you happen to get into any posture or position that is unsafe for you, Paul will ask you to correct it or come out of it.
Additional costs and requirements
Wear loose, comfortable clothing.
Paul will provide yoga mats, cushions and chairs, although you can bring your own mat if you have one.
There are no extra costs.
Will I have to do anything outside of the session?
No, unless you wish to practice what you’ve learnt.
