Chapters & plots

Okehampton Library, Okehampton

Who is this course for?

Ideal for writers who are looking for more structure and want to weave a plot in & around your main character(s). We look at different scenarios and discuss how a plot would unravel. In pairs, you focus on the contents of each chapter, as they gradually unfold. It’s time to create a plot which is both unpredictable and unusual with your favourite character!

Course content

You will discuss various scenarios which bring about unusual circumstances and events; expanding on them in order to deepen your plot. Meanwhile, your character(s) will come to the fore, being involved, possibly beyond control or guided by destiny? And then show the reader that you’re going to resolve the situation without giving the game away!

Support and feedback

You will receive weekly online tutor feedback & during the session. Plus initial & end of course assessment, too.

Additional costs and requirements

Pen and paper or laptop.

No extra costs.
