French: improvers 1
Who is this course for?
This course is for anyone who has already completed French Beginners 3 with Learn Devon or has studied French for about a year.
During this course you will learn how to understand spoken and written French and speak on a range of topics. Topics will include:
– Getting to know people
– Give explanations
– Daily routine
– Describing your day
– Using public transport
Each session will focus on a different topic and the course will build week on week.
Support and feedback
Your tutor is there to support you each session during the course. You will work with your tutor on your personal goals within the structure of the course. Regular feedback on your progress and suggestions as to how to improve will be given.
Additional costs and requirements
Completion of Learn Devon’s French Beginners 3 or similar course.
If you are a new learner to Learn Devon, you are advised to speak to a tutor to find out if this course is the right level for you. Please contact us by email or phone customer services to arrange to speak to a tutor.
Will I have to do anything outside of the session?
You will need to take notes, either using pen and paper or on a laptop / PC / phone / tablet. The tutor will give you details of the course book during the first session.

“How will I learn?
You will be working with your tutor and other learners in our Tavistock centre. The course aims to be fun and varied. You will be introduced to the new language as a class. There will also be individual, pair and small group activities to help you practise the language. The course will include a range of learning methods such as tutor presentations, role plays, audio and video clips, games and quizzes.
It is useful to go over your notes between sessions. Homework is optional.
