Who is this course for?

This 8 week course follows on from our Italian Improvers course 2 is for anyone who wants to consolidate and develop their skills further.

Course content

You will be able to develop your fluency, express your own ideas and opinions (e.g. subjunctive tense with news and a reading book), understand and extract information from a story using more complex grammar structures, depending on the work and time you will put between sessions

Support and feedback

Your tutor will give practical demonstrations, have discussions, set tasks, give feedback and will support you throughout the course. You will work with your tutor on your personal goals within the structure of the course.

You’ll complete an individual learning plan

(ILP) and there will be opportunities for you to discuss your progress and aims with your tutor.

Additional costs and requirements

This course is delivered online and provided free of charge. You will, however, need a computer or a tablet with a stable internet connection, as well as a built in or external microphone and camera to attend the course.

Will I have to do anything outside of the session?

Yes. You will learn more effectively if you are able to practice and revise between the sessions. Your tutor will give you short homework tasks to help consolidate and extend the work done in the weekly session. You will also be encouraged to make use of other resources such as internet websites for self-study activities

About the tutor

Giusy was born and brought up in Genoa on the Italian Riviera and has been teaching Italian (from absolute beginners up to university level) for several years. She has helped learners and has run exams for many keen students up to GCSE level and encouraged a few learners to progress to university. She has also taught Italian to those wishing to move to Italy. This course is offered online to support continued learning during restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Please note if/when restrictions are lifted this course may be redirected to face to face learning.

The time and day will remain the same, along with your tutor. The venue for face to face learning will be Passamore Edward Centre in Newton Abbot.
