Spanish: Beginner part 2: FULL
Who is this course for?
This course may suit you if you have completed Learn Devon’s Spanish for Beginners Part I online course or have just a little knowledge of the Spanish language already and are interested in learning via the internet.
Learning a language has many benefits including:
– being able to communicate better abroad
– understanding another culture
– exercising your brain
The course will introduce you to several topics in the language so that you will have a few basics to help you when in Spanish-speaking countries.
Each session will focus on a different topic, accessible to all learners.
You will be encouraged to take part in all of the activities and be able to ask questions and make comments to both your tutor and others on the course.
You will be working with your tutor in a virtual learning environment using an online video platform called Zoom. There will be other learners in the virtual classroom. Your tutor will introduce the topic, encourage you to have a go at repeating and speaking the language and give feedback and support throughout the course.
You may like to look over your notes before the next session but don’t have to as each session will cover a different topic.
Support and feedback
Your tutor will support you throughout the course through online face to face discussions and written feedback on your progress. You will work with your tutor on your personal goals within the structure of the course.
Additional costs and requirements
You will need a laptop / PC / phone / tablet with a camera and microphone/headphones and a good internet connection. There will be a book reading list included for you to continue your reading after the course.
This course is offered online to support continued learning during lockdown.
Please note if/when lockdown is lifted this course may be redirected to face to face learning.
The time and day will remain the same, along with your tutor. The venue for direct learning will be at the Kennaway Centre, Exmouth EX1 8DL
***Refunds for paid courses will be refunded pro rata as outlined in our fees policy if you are unable to continue your sessions.
Will I have to do anything outside of the session?
Your tutor will suggest ideas on what to practice in your own time and will signpost you to other opportunities to support your learning.
