Who is this course for?
This workshop is for anyone who would like to learn a little Italian for their holidays in Italy. It is for complete beginners or those who have already picked up a few words. We’ll learn how to greet someone, introduce ourselves and other key words phrases, useful when you’re in Italy. The workshop aims to give you the basics of the language in a fun and friendly way.
The workshop focuses on speaking in simple, real-life situations that you will encounter in Italy. You will learn how to use key Italian expressions so you have the basics to talk to people when meeting them for the first time. We’ll use lots of different resources to build up your confidence so you’ll feel ready to have a go.
Support and feedback
Initial assessment will identify your skills level at the start of the course and there will be a variety of activities to assess progress throughout the course. You’ll complete an individual learning plan (ILP) and there will be opportunities for you to discuss your progress and aims with your tutor. The tutor will also provide written feedback.
Additional costs and requirements
All you need is a pen and notebook. The tutor will provide handouts on the day.
Will I have to do anything outside of the session?
This is a one-off session but it’s always helpful to practise what you have learnt by looking over your notes and handouts afterwards.
You will also be encouraged to make use of other resources such as internet websites for self-study activities.
About the tutor
