Spanish try it out
Who is this course for?
This fun, FREE taster is suitable for beginners who are thinking of joining the autumn class and want to try it out in a sociable setting and meet the tutor and other learners. Learning a language is good for your mental health and well being and learning with others in a sociable setting is fun.
A brief ‘try out’ of some of the language, and culture of the country, designed to be interesting and fun. It will give you an idea of whether you would like to continue learning a language or just enjoy yourself in a social setting, with your chosen language.
Support and feedback
You will complete a short initial assessment of interests and levels and feedback at the end to say what you discovered or learnt.
Additional costs and requirements
A notepad and pen may be useful.
Will I have to do anything outside of the session?
You’ll leave with some ideas that you can practise at home.
About the tutor
Dr. Dilcia Pacheco – Tutor biography
Dilcia currently works as a Spanish and Italian Language Tutor for Learn Devon, Exeter College and private students.
Her country of origin is Venezuela where she completed a Law Degree at Venezuelan Central University. She came to Britain in the late 1970s to complete a Masters degree in Maritime Law at Glasgow University. She also completed a one year Diploma course in Development Administration and Planning, at Bristol University.
Having taught Spanish and Italian privately, since 1990, she decided to complete a British Teaching Adults qualification in 2000.
She is also is a British Red Cross Volunteer.
