Digital skills for beginners (Beeline)
Who is this course for?
This 10-hour course will give you the basic digital skills you need in today’s online world.
You will learn how to get online and stay safe online, how to communicate using email, Word, and ‘Zoom’. You will learn how to save and organise files and web pages. You will learn how to get goods and services online (for example, shopping, banking, NHS, travel information).
Support and feedback
You will get feedback from your tutor in the sessions to let you know how you are doing, and you will also complete an individual learning plan to help you keep on track and so you know where you are in the course and what you need to do next.
Additional costs and requirements
Do you find it difficult to use computers (laptops/personal computers) and devices (Mobile phones and tablets)? Do you find it tricky to get online to search for information and use email and software like Word, and Zoom? If you would like to develop these skills, this course is for you.
Will I have to do anything outside of the session?
All equipment and hardware and software for this workshop is provided. (Please do not bring your own device as it may not be compatible)

You can go on to one of our free Essential Digital Skills qualifications, which are longer, online courses (up to 45 hours), with an online assessment at the end which must be successfully completed to give you your Essential Digital Skills Qualification. ”
