Preparing for interview
Who is this course for?
This course is for anyone who wants to learn how to prepare for an interview and how to present themselves well at interviews
You will look at the following aspects:
Researching the company
Likely content of interview
Likely questions asked at interview
Body language and non-verbal communication
Do’s and Don’ts
Support and feedback
Your tutor will be there to support and guide you throughout the course and your tutor will give you feedback at the end of the course.
If you feel you require any support for your learning, please talk to the tutor or centre staff. Any information given will be treated confidentially.
Additional costs and requirements
This online course is real-time teaching in a virtual environment. Learners must have access to a computer/laptop, microphone, webcam and Zoom (we can advise on this).
It would be useful (but not a necessity) to bring with you examples of jobs that you have already either applied for, or would be interested in applying for.
Will I have to do anything outside of the session?
No, although your tutor may recommend things to try online after the session if you wish.
About the tutor
Your tutor will be Paul Milsom. Paul began working for Learn Devon in 2000, he has taught in many areas including Employability, IT and Photography. Before joining Learn Devon, Paul worked in the legal and financial sector in London, involving projects in Thailand and Saudi Arabia. Paul enjoys art, music and photography, and keeps active by walking and cycling. He also has a strong interest in psychology and philosophy. Paul enjoys supporting learners to access their abilities and create positive results.
