Monthly digital workshop: Navigating your Windows 10 PC
Who is this course for?
We are offering a series of linked skills surgeries.
If you have a laptop, tablet or iPad and struggle to operate it or have a specific skills need; you can attend this small informal group and receive support.
Each session will have opportunities for group and individual learning
6th January – Navigating your Windows 10 PC
3rd February – Troubleshooting your iPad or PC
2nd March – Getting to Know your iPad / iPhone
Support and feedback
Your tutor will be there for assistance and advice. You will complete a learning plan for course over 9 hours with your tutor to enable you to monitor your progress.
Additional costs and requirements
A small number of laptops and iPads are available for learning on. If you need specific help with your own laptop or iPad you can bring it along. Headphones are useful to bring along.
Will I have to do anything outside of the session?
You will be signposted to online resources so you can do further study in your own time
About the tutor
Brian Norman works as a Tutor for Learn Devon; and delivers a range of skills focussed courses. These include Employability (incorporating IT skills), Printmaking and Bookbinding.
He also works as a Specialist Mental Health Mentor with other organisations.
Brian has a BA in Fine Art; specialising in Printmaking, from Sunderland University, a Postgraduate Certificate in Online Education from Open University (Accessing and planning learning, in an online environment) and a PGCE in Post Compulsory Education from University College Suffolk.
Brian has gained a broad understanding of Microsoft and Apple computing environments that is focused on practical application of this knowledge and these skills have been shared within some of Learn Devon’s employability projects.
