Monthly digital workshop: Ipads and phones
Who is this course for?
In partnership with Exmouth Library, we are offering a series of linked skills surgeries.
If you have a laptop, tablet or iPad and struggle to operate it or have a specific skills need; you can attend this small informal group in Exmouth library and receive support.
Each session will have opportunities for group and individual learning
24th September – Troubleshooting iPhones and iPads
29th October – Keeping in touch with email and Skype
12th November – Navigating and troubleshooting Windows on a PC
26th November – Setting up and using iPads
Support and feedback
This is an informal session where you will receive one to one support and feedback from your tutor
Additional costs and requirements
A small number of laptops and iPads are available for learning on. If you need specific’ help with your own laptop or iPad you can bring it along. Headphones are useful to bring along.
Will I have to do anything outside of the session?
You will be signposted to online resources so you can do further study in your own time
About the tutor
Brian Norman works as a Tutor for Learn Devon; and delivers a range of skills focussed courses. These include Employability (incorporating IT skills), Printmaking and Bookbinding.
He also works as a Specialist Mental Health Mentor with other organisations.
Brian has a BA in Fine Art; specialising in Printmaking, from Sunderland University, a Postgraduate Certificate in Online Education from Open University (Accessing and planning learning, in an online environment) and a PGCE in Post Compulsory Education from University College Suffolk.
Brian has gained a broad understanding of Microsoft and Apple computing environments that is focused on practical application of this knowledge and these skills have been shared within some of Learn Devon’s employability projects.
