Who is this course for?

This course is for under 2’s and their parents or carers.

Course content

Through activities such as rhymes, songs, games and craft you will learn about the benefits of play and sharing stories with your child. You will learn about the importance of talking and playing in everyday routines and when you’re out and about. Your tutor will guide you in sharing the beginning of writing with your toddler. Learners and their children will share books and stories in the sessions and then be given lots of play ideas to take home.

Support and feedback

There will be a simple ILP (Individual Learning Plan) which the tutor will discuss with you individually, to make sure the class is meeting your needs. You will also take part in discussions in the group about the session’s activities.

You should be the parent or carer of a child aged 2 or under
